Notice Yourself

Use the posture to work on your body.

We are always moving toward an ideal version of a posture. Our teachers teach us with a road map to the posture and what we're working toward.

Make sure to notice your body and what you are feeling during your practice. Find that edge- that point where change is happening in your body and mind.

Know the difference between discomfort and pain. The yoga we practice is therapeutic. It is healing from the inside out, not causing you pain. If you can't hold still and breathe, with a relaxed face, you've probably gone too far. Instead notice yourself, enjoy the practice, find your center. The ideal comes with time and practice.
